Park in the gravel lot, follow path through the side gate (turn handle like a door knob) to the green studio at the back corner of the yard, have a seat on the studio porch and I will come out to receive you.

      This is for consults, prenatal care, postpartum or newborn care for families who are choosing Unassisted Home Birth otherwise known as Free Birth.

      As a disclaimer: Birth & Biodynamic Midwifery does not advocate for Unassisted Home Birth. Studies show that Home Birth is safest with a trained birth professional. However Birth & Biodynamic Midwifery understandings that women have a right to choose and finding good prenatal / postpartum / newborn care is often denied to these women.

      This is your first appointment with the midwife to access the pregnancy and establishing care

    • Newborn Hearing Screening

      State mandated hearing screen recommended within the first 10 days after birth. but can be done anytime in the first year

      Postpartum (after you have given birth) appointment for screening with the midwife for both mom and baby

Dominique Clothiaux

Dominique Clothiaux is a Licensed Midwife who has studied Functional and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy since 2005 and is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist with the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America. She offers Manual Therapy to release deep tensions around the central nervous system. Her work gently enhances and restores wellbeing in both physical and emotional health.

Education

  • She is also a Certified Doula, a Pre and Perinatal Birth Educator through The Kutenai Institute of Integral Therapies, and a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004.
