COPI Room (AMB 10)The Computerized Oral Proficiency Instrument Room is home to a computer-based, semi-adaptive test of oral proficiency for Arabic undergraduates and Spanish graduate students.
Language Café (AMB 1B)The Language Café provides a social space for students to meet, talk and learn languages together in an informal and sociable way.
Media Group Viewing Room (AMB 1A)46-inch Multi-System (NTSC, PAL, SECAM) Plasma TV for DVD, VHS, Roku, Netflix, and auxiliary sources to accommodate groups of up to six people. With glassboard and CopyCam functionality.
Practice Presentation Room (AMB 1E)Provides a space for students and faculty to practice a presentation in a realistic environment. It can also be used for small meetings requiring the use of projection or videoconferencing equipment.
Student Media Suite (AMB 1C)Computer and necessary peripherals to allow you to edit, create and customize media for language classes, or as a private place to record audio for assignments.
Telecollaboration Room (AMB 02)Supports seminars and group ethnography sessions that professors have arranged with various sister courses around the world. There is an adjoining break room, making this a perfect seminar room or space for smaller presentations or guest speakers.
TELL Classroom (AMB 3)The Technology-Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) Classroom seeks to improve foreign language instruction by exploring the potential of emerging technologies. Used to assess the impact of foreign language instructional technology on students.
Testing Center (AMB 7)AMB 7 provides comprehensive assessment services for MFLL courses, with an emphasis on placement confirmations, hybrid courses and other high-stakes language assessments.
